Prof. Dr. , Head of the Department of Holocaust Literature Research at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, member of the Laboratory of Theoretical Poetics and Semiotics of Culture at the IBL PAN, founding member of the Polish Center for Holocaust Research at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, editor of the annual "Holocaust. Studies and Materials". Together with Barbara Engelking, he prepared the concept of the "Holocaust" gallery at the Polish Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
