olabankowska@interia.pl Author BiographyShe holds Ph.D. in History on the basis of the dissertation defended at the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences, entitled „Żydowska opieka społeczna w Warszawie w latach 1939–1943”/"Jewish social welfare in Warsaw in 1939–1943". In 2011–2017, she edited and co-edited four volumes as part of the project of the full Polish edition of documents from the Ringelblum Archive (Underground Archive of the Warsaw Ghetto) at the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw. At the same time, she managed the project of the National Science Center entitled "Institutions and institutions of Jewish welfare in the General Government in 1939–1944" at the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Scholarship holder of the Saul Kagan Fellowship in Advanced Shoah Studies, the Kersten Foundation, the Fund of prof. Kiersnowski. She is interested in the history of Jewish welfare organizations during the Nazi occupation in Poland, both at the central and local levels.
